We welcome you to our Church and hope you will find the information interesting. You can find out about the activities available as well as details of our regular services and special events in the coming months.

The parish is part of a Benefice, which means that the Rector is shared - in our case, with Cossington and Bawdrip. The parishes remain independent but have a long history of helping each other and of working together and sharing resources when appropriate.

PRIEST in CHARGE

Woolavington Priest in Charge is the Revd William Lane , who came to us from Holy Trinity Church in Frome.

William is married to Karen, who is a qualified nurse, they have two children, Jonathan and Anna. William was licensed at a service at Woolavington Church on 30 January 2006.

William is from the West Country and, following time at Bristol Polytechnic, he trained as a solicitor, eventually becoming the head of the litigation department at a firm of solicitors in Weston-super-Mare . In 2000 he started his ordination training at Trinity College Bristol, and after the usual two year course was appointed as a curate at Holy Trinity Frome where he has been since June 2002. Whilst there he has been able to be involved with the community in various ways including being a governor at the local church school and Chaplain to Frome Air Training Corps.

William's interests include music, both playing and listening, amateur dramatics, cycling and caravanning, as well as spending time with the family.
